Celebrating International Rural Women’s Day 2025

More than 100 rural women from surrounding villages came together for the Women’s Assembly organized by WISE to celebrate International Rural Women’s Day 2025 at Gazi Town Bauchike, Nankana Sahib.

The gathering was filled with energy, unity, and resistance. Women shared their voices and experiences on land rights, water access, climate change, and livelihoods, highlighting their vital role in building resilient, just, and sustainable communities.

Participants performed revolutionary songs and traditional chants, celebrating women’s strength and the power of collective struggle. The atmosphere echoed with hope, courage, and determination, a reminder that when women rise, communities thrive.

Speakers called for equal access to resources, recognition of women’s labor in agriculture, and inclusion in leadership and decision-making at all levels. Together, participants reaffirmed their commitment to justice, equality, and empowerment.
