Building Ethical and Inclusive Pathways for Women in Tourism

On January 09, 2026, Women in Struggle for Empowerment (WISE), in collaboration with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP), organized an orientation session focused on empowering women through skills development for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

The session highlighted the importance of tourism ethics, including professionalism, cultural sensitivity, responsible tourism practices, and respect for local communities. Participants were encouraged to uphold ethical standards while engaging in tourism-related skills development and service delivery.

The orientation featured insights from distinguished speakers and resource persons, including Ms. Zara Parvez (Lead, Tourism Awareness Program – TDCP), Mr. Nadeem-ul-Haq (Head of Culinary Arts), Mr. Shzab Imran (TDCP Internee), and Mr. Hammad Hashni (Consultant, TDCP). Their contributions shed light on skill-building opportunities, ethical practices, and emerging career pathways for women in the tourism sector.

WISE reaffirms its commitment to strengthening partnerships that advance women’s economic empowerment through practical skills, ethical awareness, and inclusive development initiatives.
