From May 16-18, a comprehensive residential training workshop was organized for the office bearers of the Women’s Domestic Workers Union, Punjab, and focal persons of domestic workers groups. The workshop covered crucial topics including the ILO Convention-189, Decent Work, the Punjab Domestic Workers Act, 2019, Leadership and Negotiation Skills, Community Mobilization, Stress Management, Pro-Women Laws, and available legal support mechanisms.
Participants will replicate the workshop learning within their respective domestic worker groups at the community level. This initiative aims to connect approximately 500 women domestic workers, empowering them to advance the agenda of rights and dignity for women domestic workers at the grassroots level.
