On August 9, 2025, a WISE delegation met with Ms. Mehwish Amanat, District Education Officer (DEO) Nankana Sahib, to present a report on the missing facilities in government schools. Key issues highlighted included lack of clean drinking water, insufficient classrooms, dilapidated boundary walls, lack of toilets, and electricity shortages. Ms. Amanat assured that efforts are underway to improve these facilities and mentioned that the School Management Committee (SMC) policy has been implemented in all schools of Punjab.
Earlier, on July 21, 2025, a WISE delegation visited the Education Office in Lahore to present a similar report focusing on the inadequate facilities in government schools across the city. Issues raised included those related to clean water, classrooms, boundary walls, toilet facilities, and electricity. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Assistant Director and Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority, acknowledged WISE’s efforts and assured that necessary measures would be taken to resolve these issues, with continuous coordination to monitor the improvement process.
