Women Domestic Workers Union and WISE organized a protest demo yesterday in front of Lahore Press club to demand justice for Rizwana and Fatima – the two underage child domestic workers, abused and killed respectively in Islamabad and Khairpur (Sindh) recently. The 13 years old Rizwana was brutally tortured by her employer, while 10-year-old Fatima was raped and murdered by her employer (spiritual leader) in Sindh. Participants demanded of the govt. to take serious actions to prevent the widespread prevalence of child labor, trafficking and physical torture of working children and provide justice to Rizwana and Fatima.
