In Faisalabad, a Stakeholders’ Consultation on the Punjab Domestic Workers Act, 2019 brought together domestic workers, labor unions, government representatives, and civil society activists. Key speakers included Zulfiqar Ali and Anwa-rul-haq from the Directorate of Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (Faisalabad), Aslam Wafa (General Secretary, Labor Federation Faisalabad), Rab Nawaz (President, Pakistan Labor Qumi Movement), Nadeem Ahmad (Chairman, NGOs Network Faisalabad), Chaudhary Saeed, Yasir Arfat (representatives of the Wages Commissioner Department of Labor), Usman Pasha (Advocate), along with Perveen Latif, Bana Latif Ansari, Bushra Khaliq, and Amina Afzal from WISE.

During the event, it was emphasized that the Rules of Business under PDWA 2019 were formulated, however, domestic workers voiced concerns about the slow progress in implementing the law. Participants collectively proposed measures to expedite the implementation process of the Punjab Domestic Workers Act 2019.
