This impactful public event, jointly organized by WISE on June 27, 2025, in collaboration with the Social Development Foundation (SDF) and the Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CDD), provided a dynamic platform for community women to engage directly with key government officials and voice their concerns about local issues. The inclusive forum empowered women to openly discuss the challenges they face in their communities, fostering transparency and accountability. Key government officials, including Abdul Basit Siddique (Assistant Commissioner), Ali Butt (LWMC), Munis Ahmad (Enforcement Inspector), Kaleem Ullah Khan (Zonal Officer), and Shakeel Iqbal (WASA), actively participated in the session, bridging the gap between citizens and local authorities. Their responsiveness highlighted the importance of participatory governance and reinforced the critical role of women in shaping decisions that affect their communities at the grassroots level.
