On 10 July 2026, we gathered to pay tribute to our beloved and courageous peasant leader, Aqeela Naz, whose life remains an enduring symbol of resistance, dignity and the struggle for justice. Friends and comrades from diverse social movements, women’s organisations, labour and peasant groups, and human rights defenders came together to celebrate her remarkable legacy.

Speakers reflected on her unwavering commitment to the rights of peasants, women and marginalised communities. Her fearless leadership, deep connection with grassroots struggles and determination to challenge injustice continue to inspire new generations of activists.
