On 8 July 2026, a WISE delegation visited the Punjab Employees’ Social Security Institution (PESSI) Head Office in Lahore and met with Mr. Rashid Badar, Director Compensation & Benefits (C&B), to advocate for the issuance of Social Security Cards for domestic workers and the notification of Rules under the Punjab Domestic Workers Act, 2019.

The engagement highlighted the urgent need to extend social protection coverage to domestic workers and ensure the effective implementation of their legal rights, including access to social security benefits, across Punjab.
