In commeoration of International Women’s Day on 8 March 2025, WISE organized an special awareness session with domestic workers at Nagra Town Furniture Market, Lahore. The work of domestic workers is often undervalued and unrecognized, despite their crucial role in supporting families and economies. Majority of the domestic workers lack access to fair wages, working hours, overtime pay, and other basic protections.

In view of the fact, the session, attended by the domestic workers of the area was focused on educating them about their rights, legal protections, and the importance of safe and dignified workplaces. On this occasion, WISE expresses its commitment to redouble efforts to put the priorities of domestic workers as paid and unpaid caregivers on public agendas
