Commemoration of National Working Women’s Days

To observe the National Working Women’s Day, Mehergarh and WISE jointly organised a public seminar at PILAC, Lahore on 22nd December 2022. The event was dedicated to women singers. Speaking on the occasion speakers including Dr. Fauzia Saeed, Maliha Husain, Tanvir Jahan, Bushra Aitzaz and Bushra Khaliq demanded to recognise women singers as working women. Rich tributes were paid to women singers like Jahan Ara Begum, Mai Bhagi, Fareeda Khanam, Munni Begum, Teena Sani, Roona Laila, Nayyara Noor, Naheed Akhtar, Shahnaz Begum and others on this occasion.
