WISE organized a two-day Capacity Building Training Workshop on Leadership, Digital Skills, and Occupational Safety from 28th to 29th September 2024 in Lahore. A total of 35 community leaders and domestic workers participated in the workshop, gaining valuable insights from expert speakers, including Rubina Shaheen, Women Protection Officer at AGHS Legal Aid Cell, who discussed pro-women laws; Abdul Khaliq, a social researcher, who covered negotiation skills; Muhammad Shahid, Secretary of the Minimum Wages Board Punjab, who shared information on health benefits under relevant acts; Bushra Khaliq, Executive Director of WISE, who emphasized the importance of leadership for domestic workers; and Amina Afzal, Project Manager at WISE, who focused on digital safety.
This workshop empowered domestic workers with essential knowledge and skills to enhance their leadership and safety in the workplace.
