Leading with Peace: Mental Well-being for Women Community Leaders

Mental well-being is essential for women, not only for their personal health but also because they navigate multiple, interconnected roles within families and communities. As caregivers, mothers, professionals, and community leaders, women often face intense emotional labor and the burden of multitasking. Building knowledge around mental health equips them to better manage stress and sustain their leadership.

In this context, on 20 May 2025, WISE organized a day-long training workshop titled “Mental Well-being for Women Community Leaders.” The session aimed to equip women community leaders with vital knowledge and practical tools for stress management and emotional well-being. A total of 48 participants from Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib took part in the workshop. Ms. Tanveer Jahan, Executive Director of DCHD, served as the resource person.

The training included focused sessions on stress management, emotional resilience, and self-care, along with interactive group activities that encouraged peer learning and reflection.
