Transforming Society Together: Our Vote, Our Voice

WISE organized a seminar on “Citizen’s Voter Registration & Electoral Participation” in collaboration with the Shah Hussain Regional Network and the Department of Social Work at the University of the Punjab. Over 100 students and teachers actively participated in the event. Distinguished resource persons included Zahid Islam (Executive Director, Sangat Development Foundation – SDF and LG Expert), Shahzad Khan (Shah Hussain Regional Network), Dr. Aliyah Khalid (Associate Professor), Dr. Uzma Ashiq (Chairperson, Department of Social Work, University of the Punjab), Imtiaz Fatima (Voice Society for the Rehabilitation of the Special Persons), and Bushra Khaliq (Executive Director, Women In Struggle for Empowerment – WISE). The speakers emphasized the significance of women’s electoral participation and highlighted the need to reduce the gender gap in the electoral rolls.
