On 10 December 2025, Women in Struggle for Empowerment (WISE) organized a seminar to mark National Voters Day 2025 at the District Council Office, Nankana Sahib. The event brought together 105 participants from Village Jatri, Shah Chak, Yungsanabad, Colony Shokta Abad, and Shah Chak, reflecting strong community interest in democratic participation and civic awareness.
The seminar featured distinguished speakers, including Sir Hafiz Waqar (Assistant, Election Commission Nankana Sahib), Komal Sarfaraz (Baba Guru Nanak University), Abid Ali Abid (President, PECHAN Welfare Society), and social activists Rubina Asif and Rani Shamim Akhter. Discussions focused on the importance of voting, voter registration procedures, and challenges communities face in exercising their voting rights. Sir Hafiz Waqar also provided practical guidance on using the Pak-ID App to facilitate voter registration.
The seminar aimed to enhance voter awareness, promote voter registration, and encourage women’s political participation at the grassroots level, strengthening democratic engagement and fostering more inclusive governance.
